Team & Contact

The PROGR is an artistic center and cultural hub in the heart of Berne. It comprises more than 200 artists distributed in 70 studios and working in all media. Neighboring them are cultural institutions and organizers. The public area located on the ground floor accommodates exhibitions and concerts and two gastronomic units provide venues for encounters.

Access to the Aula, Kleine Bühne and Turnhalle for People with Limited Mobility

Access to the Aula and Kleine Bühne is via the courtyard. On the east side (Lehrerzimmer side), there is a wooden door marked PROGR OST leading to a staircase equipped with a wheelchair lift.

In the entrance hall on the raised ground floor, there is a passenger lift on the right that provides access to the first floor. From here, the Kleine Bühne (right) and Aula (left) can be reached without steps or thresholds.

Access to the PROGR Turnhalle is step-free via the courtyard, leading directly to the mezzanine level. The gallery provides a clear view of the stage. Alternatively, a passenger lift can be used to reach the lower level directly. More information about accessibility at the Turnhalle: OK:GO.

If you are attending an event, please contact us in advance by email at assistenz@progr.ch or speak to us directly at the entrance at Waisenhausplatz 30 – we will be happy to assist you personally.

PROGR is located in the centre of Bern, just a five-minute walk from the train station. The easiest way to reach us is on foot or by bicycle.

There are no official parking spaces in the PROGR courtyard. Stopping or parking vehicles of any kind within the courtyard is prohibited, except for loading and unloading for a maximum of 15 minutes. We recommend using one of the nearby car parks.

Tenants, event organisers and suppliers who need to leave their vehicle in the courtyard for longer can request a parking permit by contacting parkplatz@progr.ch.

Access for Blind and Visually Impaired Visitors

To make PROGR more accessible for blind and visually impaired visitors, we provide audio directions. They guide visitors from Bern railway station to our premises, assist with orientation within the building and provide directions for the return journey to the station. In this way, we aim to enable independent and safe navigation throughout PROGR.

The Awareness Campaign is a joint initiative by PROGR, Turnhalle, Lehrerzimmer and bee-flat, developed with the support of taktvoll. At this link, you can find the most important information about our values and what awareness means to us. You can also report an incident, share feedback and get in touch with us regarding awareness.

Find our Awareness Concept and contact options here!

Lost something at PROGR or the PROGR Turnhalle? No problem! Just send us an email at assistenz@progr.ch or give us a call, and we’ll be happy to check whether your lost item has been handed in.

PROGR receives no public funding for the operation of the cultural centre. Contributions are therefore especially important to help maintain the infrastructure, make events possible and further develop our spaces.
